[JOB&CAREER] SOUND DESIGNER (MICROSOFT RESEARCH)

codemasters

You've got the chance to work for three month with the fantastic Microsoft Research folks in Cambridge UK, on a really exciting project. Interested?

This is an on-site role, but there is opportunity to work from home occasionally - at least 2 days a week must be spent on-site, more is obviously better.
This is probably intermediate+ level and needs a fair bit of previous experience and drive.

"At Microsoft Research in Cambridge we are exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence and machine learning in issues of accessibility and inclusion. As part of these efforts we are looking for an audio designer or studio mixer to help in the development of concepts that use rich, spatial auditory feedback to provide a “landscape of sound” that can be interpreted by a person who is blind or partially sighted. This is likely to be a combination of spoken, musical, and abstract sound. This individual will spend 3 months working with the research team to develop auditory concepts that complement the design of the system. This role is based in Cambridge and starts as soon as possible." - Microsoft Research

    Candidates should have:
  • Demonstrated background in audio design or studio mixing
  • Previous experience in spatialized audio
  • Demonstrated ability in team working
  • Experience in real-time audio response
